9 months

Today Logan turned 9 months. Its amazing. He's been here the same amount of time that i was pregnant with him. It seems like years since i was pregnant. I am amazed at the changes he has gone through and how Herbie and I have coped with the sleepless nights, unexplained high temps, teething, etc. I love you my Logan forever and ever.

Logan got to have Ice Cream today. He has figured out that if my mouth is moving with out talking then i must have food in my mouth. And he MUST have some. Well i got some ice cream and lets just say mommy let him have some.

I was trying to get "9 Month" pictures today...Did it happen? well sure but not the way i wanted...Logan wanted to do everything else but...so here are a few of my trying.... :D

A day in the life....

Today i took logan out into the swimming pool and he got to play with the hose...well we got out too late and it was COLD water....as you can tell by his face...

Logan has always loved seeing himself in the mirror...probably since he was 4 months old. Now when he sees himself and is standing on the sink in front of the bathroom mirror he gives his reflection kisses..

A Milestone?

Ok so today i went into get Logan up from his nap and found him sitting in his crib. He has not done this at all before! He shocked me!! Then when i put him down on the floor he started trying to get himself up on his knees. I couldn't believe it...two different things in one day! I think its because his cousin joseph is here and he is crawling on his knees too and so he decided he needed to join him. Joseph is 7 months old.

Although these things happened he has been excessively whiny.. I know his teeth are coming in but man this time its worse....I think he's also dealing with the "seperation anxiety" thing..but its always only when he's tired...but i sure do love the effects of Tylenol and Motrin... (no not for me... for logan :D )

Saturday Night

This saturday night we took Karyn and Rich to see John Heffron at the Punchline in Sacramento. We had such a blast. We started off going to the Cheesecake Factory and while sitting waiting for the table we were outside and wanted to take pictures. So i asked a lady if she would. She told us no because she thought we wanted to take pictures of her son...She seemed to be a little off...right Karyn? The lady then finally took our picture. (see below) When we were at the comedy club our fear was put to the test...We had to sit in the front row. I wasn't all that concerned once it got to John Heffron because he was a great guy. Then it came. He was scanning the crowd and found us...It was great and luckily he didn't burn us too bad... :D

Me and Herbie

All of us... Boy were we hungry!

A friday the 13th post....

I have finally caught up! I can't believe it! Now asking me to see Logan's scrapbook? well that's another story. I am just happy to have this thing updated. Logan is moving faster now. He hasn't started on his knees yet but i'm sure he will be soon. Here are some current pictures of him up until today.
My two boys....

Logan and his pal Zack. Zack came over so Karyn could go to a funeral. Lets just say that Baby Einstein Rocks!!!!

We were all getting ready to go to the Arden Fair Mall. Chris and Marisa came up to visit. Well i was hoping that logan would fall asleep in the car but he didn't make it....this is how he fell asleep in grandma's arms...

Daddy helping Logan walk... :D

Chris and Marisa made Logan this Batman bear at the "Build a Bear" workshop. He laughs hysterically whenever he sees it. I have it on video and i hope to upload it soon.

yesterday i was on the computer and logan decided he wanted to check out how his exersaucer was put together...Im telling you a mechanical mind....

This is one of Herbie's Father's Day gifts. Its a tshirt with pictures from all (ok not May) the months leading up to Fathers Day. The other? A golf club. He has no idea on either so SHHH!!! until Sunday! I truly can't believe that I've kept it a secret for so long!

May 2008

This month we went to go watch my cousin Jade at her track meet. She did really well! Im so proud of her! Logan had a great time being able to flirt with everyone he saw.

Boys will be boys right? well Logan decided he wanted to pull on some wires and a box (not a heavy one) fell and conked him right underneath the eye. I didn't realize it hit there until the bruise started to form.

Being it my first Mother's Day Herbie surprised me with the above necklace. I was so surprised! He is such a wonderful husband! (his fathers day gift will be posted a little later)

We got Logan this leap frog table. Instead of wanting to pull himself up to play on it he likes to crawl under it. I think the mechanical side of him is coming out in this picture.

Logan figured out how to put himself in this position in the bathtub. He loves being able to kick and splash mommy.

My mom got Logan this little pool for him to swim in on hot days. Well the water wasn't exactly warm on this day but he suffered through it once he saw he had toys to play with!

My boy is 8 months old. I cant believe it. He started crawling an army crawl this month. He uses only one foot to push off with and is very content. He has gotten faster and the cats are definitely staying further away from him!

Milestones:

Crawling the army crawl
Waving
eating "puffs" all by himself
giving hi-fives
at beginning of month started stage 2 foods, by end of the month started stage 3.
started giving a "cheese" smile

April 2008

This month we went to visit Grandma Morton and Grandpa Morton. We decided to fly because we knew that a 14 hour drive wasn't going to cut it with logan being so much older now. So he got to ride his first airplane ride at 6 1/2 months. I was 9 when i took my first ride and Herbie was 25 years old.

Grandma Morton holding Logan over Joseph....I wonder what was going through logan's mind at this time...could it be "whatcha doin down there?" or "Im gonna get you!!"

The Pima Air Museum was a great stop on our trip. We went with Grandpa Morton. It seemed as though the "graveyard" (for the planes) was never ending but it was such a blast being able to walk underneath all the great planes. We even got to walk through Air Force One. The same one that President Kennedy walked through. I couldn't believe it....

Getting tired...

At one of the many thrift stores that we went to, Grandma Morton got this Dance and Shout with me Elmo for Logan. He loves it! As it moves he laughs and just looks at it with a perplexed look. He then trys to make it fall because Elmo makes some funny sounds when he falls.

Oh the boys!!

Logan loves the swing. He laughs hysterically everytime he came to you.

This is one of the last photos we took before going home from AZ. after this was taken Logan got really sick. He was getting tired and cranky but luckily slept through most of the flight.

Seven Months. I can't believe it.

This month my mom brought home two baby goats. We named them Penelope and Daisy. Logan just loves them! Since this was the first day he saw them he didn't know what to think. Penelope was trying to play "Queen of the Mountain"

Chris and Marisa came to visit to celebrate my mom's birthday. We were so happy to see them. Luckily this time the power didn't go out!! :D

Zack came over and got to meet and feed the goats with logan. Ok so Karyn and I fed the goats but the boys had fun watching the goats play.

April 28th it became official! Zack was officially adopted by Rich and Karyn. I was so blessed and honored to be able to be apart of this event. Congrats!!!

My boys were being goofy at Zack's Adoption Picnic Party. We had so much fun that Logan zonked out in the car on the way home.

Milestones:

He went from sitting to his stomach
Started babbling more often

March 2008

Herbie, Logan and I had just come home and Logan was in a silly mood so we decided to take pictures of him in front of our flowers. He became such a ham when Herbie got behind me to make him laugh.

This month was hard for me as I quit breastfeeding. I quit just in time though! On March 14th Logan got his two bottom front teeth in. and those teeth are sharp!! He started solid foods and a bottle and truly he never looked back. He loves his "groceries."

We got a visit from Grandma Morton and Aunt Raelene this month. We were excited because we haven't seen either since Thanksgiving. It was great seeing them and seeing how much Joseph and Ethan have grown!
Old Sac Trip --- Joseph and Raelene

Cousins: Logan, Ethan and Joseph

We got Logan a pair of sunglasses. He loves them! He doesn't even take them off. Which is great!

Logan turned 6 months old this month and so we decided to go get some professional pictures done. Which was my birthday present! :D

We went to San Francisco to visit with Chris and celebrate my birthday. We ate at the Cheesecake Factory on the roof of the Macy's building. It was fantastic!!
