10 years ago...Celebrating 10 years since our first date on February 13th 1999....

It all started on December 31st 1998. My friend Candy and I were sitting in Jerry's Restaurant in Yuba City (now it is the Waffle Barn) talking about the next year. Would it be a great year? I told her you know what I want to do something that I have never done before: "A blind date". She said go for it! I thought well why not what do I have to lose?

I talked with the lady I babysat for at the time and she said she knew of a couple of guys. I thought great! Well the first was her nephew who I knew and then found out after our "dinner date" that he actually was dating a 40 year old woman. Interesting but that was strike 1. Strike two was her bug man who thought I was cute by seeing my senior year picture she had posted on her fridge. Then she said nope..not going to happen he said something weird and she said nope you're not dating her.

Well since I figured we were going nowhere with all of that I didn't think anything more of a blind date being able to happen. Then her husband said that the guy who worked in the radiator shop behind his would be a great date for me. two weeks later he called me. We had a great conversation about ourselves, what we are in to, movies, sports -- me telling him that I didn't think golf should be called a sport (later once I actually played I retracted that statement). Then towards the end of our conversation he asked me out on a date for February 13th 1999. I was stoked, scared, nervous all at the same time...

These are the pictures we gave each other...his is from a dating
service that he tried out and mine is my senior photo...these were
both taken around the same time in 1998...(im really glad the dating
service didn't work...)

**unfortunately i cannot find our first official picture together that my dad took but here's one from october of that same year....

this was taken as a suprise in October 1999 (he hated
it because he wanted to cut his hair if he knew we were doing it)

I just can't believe that it has been 10 years since the love of my life has come into my life. What a change he has made in my life. He has been there for me through so much and I can't see my life being anything different. He has treated me like a queen and sure there are many many times we disagree but at the end of the day I know he is the one I can count on.

Happy Anniversary Sweetie....I love you! oh and I'm glad you were never strike 3.

***p.s. there is a post coming about Arizona...i just took so many pictures that its taking me a bit to sort through.... Happy Valentines Day!!!
