Fun at the Park!

Today since it was SO nice outside and Logan seemed to be getting tired of being inside I decided to take him to the closest park. Now that he is walking he is much more adventurous. He found he can go down the slide by himself, climb the stairs and come back down, and run around without mommy being RIGHT there. It was fun watching him explore. My cousin Kathy and her two girls Jade and Chelsey came and visited with us while we were there. It was great seeing them!

He also noticed girls. It is the funniest thing. If there is a girl that is just a bit taller than him, he will go up and try with all his might to hug them. Today he got his wish. He went up to this one little girl and just hugged on her and was laughing too. He was so happy! He even gave her a kiss on the cheek. Now im all for having a girlfriend but isn't that supposed to start in high school? :D I wanted to take pictures but I didn't want the aunt who was watching the girls to get upset.

The past week or so we have had some cold rain. Christmas day and today we were blessed with the Sun coming out. We decided that since it was somewhat dry that we would take Logan outside to just play and get some of that great Vitamin D!

Christmas

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Logan was up around 7 Christmas morning. We started the tradition of stockings (just for him though) back up since this year he would be able to get into his stocking. Santa was good to him and got him a stuffed elmo, Sesame Street cookies, a bouncy ball, and some M&M's.

We had waffles for breakfast. When we were done we dived into our presents. It almost seemed (as you can see in the pictures below) that Logan was an old pro at this. He loved ripping the paper off the presents but wasn't happy when the paper was gone...

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve both Herbie and Mom had to work. Colleen, Logan's daycare lady, was having a Christmas party at her house and when getting done with the canvas's she ordered we went over. We had pizza and even decorated some cookies. Logan has been getting more and more cozy with Colleen but with only going twice a week its hard for him to "remember."

He found this Elmo in the playroom and kept talking to it and wouldn't put it down.

My mom had bought this shirt for him and when i was wrapping a present I had to take off the price tag and since it came off perfectly i decided to put it on him. He laughed and laughed and i luckily got this picture.

Christmas Eve night we read "The Night Before Christmas" to Logan with the version that my friend Nicole had gotten us last year. He loved the pop ups that were in it but we didn't let him touch it because other pop up books of his have lost their "poppiness."

Oh Christmas Tree!

This year we got into the christmas spirit a little late...we had only two weeks left til christmas but we needed to put up the tree. Last year we had gotten an Artificial tree because in the long run it was more cost effective and the cats wouldn't get into it as much as the real ones...

Since we started trimming the tree we wanted logan to help. We luckily purchased from wal-mart the "unbreakable" kind of bulbs. Logan loved taking them and making them bounce!

One of my christmas traditions that i remember fondly was helping my dad put the star on the tree. Last year the star that we used for , well as long as i can remember, decided to call it quits so we got a new star. Logan helped Herbie put the star on!


This is now what our tree looks like. I love it..you can tell we have a little one...there is only a couple of ornaments left in his reach where all the others are up above his reach!
