Randomness

We just turned 28 weeks. Swelling feet have begun but I believe for the most part it has to do with the chips i've been eating and also the fact that i am not adverse to chocolate anymore. :) I am anticiapting August 4th since that will be the doctors appt that we set up the c-section date. Then we will ACTUALLY know the date she is coming.

I still can't belive that in less then 12 weeks we will be a family of 4. I remember when Herbie and I were trying for Logan and not being able to picture us as a family of 3, let alone now a family of 4. I am excited to start on this new journey. Olivia is definitely a demanding little thing. She loves kicking me and in a way telling me off. I think mainly because I finally get into a comfortable position and she decides its not comfortable for her so she decides to kick me in the bladder....many times.

This weekend we are going camping. This will be Logan's first time ever camping. He is so excited. We are going to Little Grass Valley. It is about an hour and a half from our house. I used to go there when I was Logan's age with our church. It was so much a family vacation that I almost yearn for those years again. It was always filled with laughter (other then the time I got lost in the dark because i took the wrong path). I hope to be able to explore there again and see it through Logan's eyes. Herbie hasn't gone camping there either so he will also get to experience it for the first time. He just can't wait to go fishing!  I am so happy to be of the age that I am not embarrassed to sleep on a blow up mattress. That and with being seven months pregnant I WILL NOT sleep on the ground. I hope to post pictures when we get back.

Have a great day!

Ok, I'll do better.....

Its been a year and a day since the last time I posted. I have been noticing that I have had the urge again to blog. This might be from the 22+ week old baby growing in my tummy.

When Logan was about a year and a half we started trying for another baby. We knew with the amount of time that it took with Logan that it would take some time....we didn't know it would take 2 more years....I thought that since my body had already been pregnant it would say "Oh yeah! We can do that again!" but alas it didn't happen.

We turned to medical intervention in November 2010. I started taking Clomid and with it being a fertility medicine I thought maybe the first month would work, but no. It also didn't take in December. The side effects they said or I read about were worse then what I had. Thank Goodness!! In January it finally stuck. We didn't get to test until February 2nd. That morning about 4:30am I took the test. It was finally positive!!! I called Herbie and he was as overjoyed as I was :) I then called Karyn because she wanted to know at the exact moment I knew. :)

Fast forward to this week and we have had the ultrasound which showed us that we are going to add a little girl to our family. Her name is/will be Olivia Yvonne. Its becoming a lot more real since figuring out a name. Olivia was the second of two names we decided on since no one in our families or extended families have an Olivia. Yvonne is after Herbie's Grandmother on his dad's side. His Grandma has been the loving Grandma I always wanted and always want to remember.  I love having the middle names mean something. She is due October 9th. :)

Logan is excited now about being a big brother.  He wasn't so happy at the sonogram when the tech said we would be having a girl. He wanted a brother, BUT he is calling his sister "Princess Olivia" now. He is so cute!

Logan has been doing well. I am truly afraid for his future kindergarten teacher. He is reading at a 1/2 level and is starting to work on his math skills. He has started pre-school and absolutely loves it. I love that he is having the social aspect and his teachers love him. His new teacher told me today that he has such a positive outlook to EVERYTHING. He loves saying "YAY" to everything they are going to do from having snack to playing outside.

I am hoping that I will continue to post more and more here as I have truly missed it. And I know I will have more to write when im up for the nightly feedings!
