Has it been 18 Months already??

Today Logan turned 18 months. I can't believe the changes that has happened in him, its so wonderful to see how he's gone from just gurgles to full words...He has started to recognize some of the letters in the Alphabet and loves pointing them out ANYWHERE we are, He loves being outside and starts in with BIG tears if you say its time to go inside, He loves reading books and has finally gotten over the separation anxiety...he loves to point out planes, and absolutely LOVES Sesame Street...

He's being a lil ham here...usually i get the look aways when i take out the camera but tonite it was all about trying to get me to take them...

Here he is trying to take it away from me...

HAPPY SPRING!

Ok this post doesn't have any pictures (i know darn right?) but i do have to share.

This time of year i believe is my favorite. Not only is my birthday 9 days away, but everything seems to be "brand new". Whenever I go outside I see all the signs of God's neverending Love and Blessings.

I am able to walk outside and see my tulips (my second favorite flower) starting to bloom. My mom had bought and I planted in a certain spot in our yard some more Tulips since the first ones didnt' die but kept coming back we figured why not get some more. Since it was late in the season i didn't know if they were all going to grow....and they are! with all the water we got I believe it helped them get their roots. I am so excited to see them all bloom and come back next year!

I also think this spring feels different because a certain someone is able to run, walk, discover, be a daredevil, and just have fun in the yard. Its so hard to bring him back inside because he just throws a fit so i have to bribe him with a cookie. Now if he has his golf clubs he doesn't EVER want to come inside.

I love the longer days. Oh how i ENJOY, APPRECIATE, and SAVOR the longer days. It just seems like the days of when i was younger, when i knew that summer was coming and when i could stay up later, stay outside more and we could open the windows and get that fresh air breeze that we so longed for in the winter.

I hope your spring is filled with many new things, much love and many blessings.

I love you all!

Logan's first time in the snow!

This past sunday was absolutely beautiful, Logan was feeling better (not much of a runny nose), and I was itching to get out of the house. With all these "conditions" we decided to take Logan to visit the snow! He had fun but was face down most of the time. We bundled him all up and we didn't know how he would do by putting sunglasses on but he left them on until they fell off. We only stayed about an hour because there were more and more people coming and Logan was getting tired...

Looking like a stud in his sunglasses

This was our view of him for most of the day...

we were so happy to have gotten this on sale!

Herbie pulled a little too hard and Logan was thrown to the side

He got used to walking in the snow but still fell down alot

Needing Daddy's help!

watching all the other people

I have such a great husband! He pulled Logan everywhere and let me just snap away!

So stinkin cute!!

Down they go!

yes my first time going down on the sled--ever--(as you can tell by my face) and i was more worried about not throwing us into the snow and hurting Logan than going down...

I just loved that Logan kept saying "es" (yes) to wanting to go down again.

starting to like the snow

picking up the snow

then throwing it

such beautiful views from Cisco Grove (Hwy 20 and I-80)

He had just gone down the "BIG" hill and was finally ready to go home..

can you tell he's tired?

i know cheesy...

But we couldn't leave before getting a family picture!

Golfing: Logan Style

Its amazing what joy $2.00 can bring. I bought these before Logan was born and thought Herbie would get a kick out of teaching Logan how to golf. Well since it had been over a week since Logan got to play outside i decided some fresh air could do him some good. We went outside and I brought these out. He hadn't played with them before this and he had a blast.

Oh mommy you and that camera....always following me!

Figuring out his form...

about to whack the golf ball

If i put the club this way I can make it go far!

Teething + a Cold = Miserable?

These past few days (well since friday) Logan has been dealing with a cold. I didn't know if maybe he had an ear infection because he was favoring his left ear so saturday we went to urgent care. The doctor checked his ear and there wasn't an infection! yay! But she did say he had a normal cold and then checked his teeth and yup his last back molars are coming through. Since then his cough has gotten worse and his nose (as you can see in the picture) has been running non stop! But him being miserable? nope, he doesn't show it...I think it has to do with the fact we have him doped up on tylenol and Motrin. He is still playing and running around and especially runs away from me when i have a baby wipe in hand to wipe away the boogers! I can't wait for this cold to pass but it may be awhile....oh and we have it now too...fun!

Legos

My cousin Heather and her son Travis brought these Big Legos down with them when they were here for the superbowl and logan dearly loves them! He loves "talking" on the phone with them or helping me or daddy build a big castle and then pushing it over...when this happens he puts his hands on his cheeks and says "UH OH!" and then laughs!

Having fun with Daddy

While i was at work herbie took logan outside to play. Herbie was practicing his golf swing and Logan decided to try it out too. When i got home Logan decided to play with his new slide and i got some great pictures and a video too!

1! 2! 3! GO!!

lets try it a different way....

oh how i love these boys!
