Today Logan had his first haircut. What made us do it so early? He is only 10 months old...Well Herbie kept saying that Logan was starting to have a mullet or as he likes to say "Business in the front and Party in the back" although to Herbie the front was starting to be a party also. I being against the haircut for a long time changed my tune when at Chili's on Saturday night a waitress agreed with Herbie on the fact of the mullet....i sighed and when we got home i emailed my friend Joann who i have known for 11 years and is a WONDERFUL hair stylist to see if she had an appointment available because she was the one that i wanted to cut his hair for the first time. I am constantly amazed at how he does things because i thought he was going to be crying the whole time....but as you can see by the pictures he was entertained and didn't really realize what was going on!
The back of his head before the haircut...
Oh Joann mommy makes my hair into a Mohawk all the time...
The first cut!!! and yes I was holding my tears back...
Do you see mommy? I have a comb just like yours...
I really like you...you give me toys to play with!
I love the determination in Joann's face and the "what are we doing here mom" look on Logans face..
getting next to those ears is tricky and even harder when it is a 10 month old and he is moving all the time... Joann was making jokes about getting so close and into Herbie's face since this was their first time meeting.
can you tell that Logan is not phased at all by the haircut? he just has to be entertained with something in his hand...
are we almost done daddy???
You Joann are so patient, so wonderful, and such a great friend...thank you for doing his hair, and for letting his scrapbook-picture happy mom get MANY MANY pictures...

Are you kidding me? I am so honored you let me give him his first haircut!
He's more still than most adults- and I got to kiss him... which is a no no for most of my clients! LOL!
He's gorgeous! Good luck with that cow-lick!
I love it! He DOES look like a little boy! She did a great job and seemed to be very cautious and patient with him. Good job, Mommy! You handled it well too :)
