Ten Year Reunion

Its amazing...Ten years have gone by since I graduated High School. I can't believe it. I think im in denial. i mean Im ten years older and have i really accomplished all that i wanted to when i graduated? Well i wanted to get married....In 10 days it will be 8 years...so i accomplished that....I wanted to graduate college....I did that and even went on to get my teaching credential......i accomplished that.....I wanted to have kids....It took a few years (not by what i wanted but by what God wanted).....and we accomplished that....I even went to Hawaii....so i think ive done what ive wanted....but even though my "wants" have been accomplished i realize that i still have more wants....

i want to go to Austraila, i want more kids, i want to go see both a boston red sox game AND a patriots game during the same year, i want to take a cruise to alaska....and so much more....

its just interesting to look back on your past and see who really touched it and what you've lived through...here are pictures from tonite...there weren't that many people there and i learned some new things about people that was interesting to know especially since it didn't fit what they were like in high school and i guess that's what a reunion is REALLY for... :D

we also did some "questions" for prizes....like who traveled the farthest, who has the most kids, and who has been married the longest. I couldn't believe it but we won for who was married the longest. i know that there were people who got married before me but like most that i know -- they got divorced....i think its sad that in a group of 30 only 1 has been married for that long...although i do have to say Tina (see picture below) has been married for over 5 years also...i am so happy that i am still in love with herbie 8 years later like i was back then...although my love has grown into so much more....

Nicole and I...Friends since 6th grade

Herbie decided to be funny while we were taking pictures...
ahh i LOVE his smile...8 years in 10 days.....I love you!!

This (minus a few) was my "group" or "clic" in high school...Candy (in the middle) was my rock when things were upside down and im so glad that we stayed friends

I met Candy in Freshman English...i can't remember who said hi first but we've been best friends ever since....I don't think we have fought once...wow...14 years and no fights? how did this happen? i think its because we are so different that we just balance each other out...

Tina and her husband Terence..
By the end...when everyone else decided to go drink...this was Herbie's form of entertainment... :D

Not A Baby Anymore......

Today Logan had his first haircut. What made us do it so early? He is only 10 months old...Well Herbie kept saying that Logan was starting to have a mullet or as he likes to say "Business in the front and Party in the back" although to Herbie the front was starting to be a party also. I being against the haircut for a long time changed my tune when at Chili's on Saturday night a waitress agreed with Herbie on the fact of the mullet....i sighed and when we got home i emailed my friend Joann who i have known for 11 years and is a WONDERFUL hair stylist to see if she had an appointment available because she was the one that i wanted to cut his hair for the first time. I am constantly amazed at how he does things because i thought he was going to be crying the whole time....but as you can see by the pictures he was entertained and didn't really realize what was going on!
The back of his head before the haircut...

All the hair!

getting all wet!

Oh Joann mommy makes my hair into a Mohawk all the time...

The first cut!!! and yes I was holding my tears back...

Do you see mommy? I have a comb just like yours...

I really like you...you give me toys to play with!

Grover do you get haircuts??

I love the determination in Joann's face and the "what are we doing here mom" look on Logans face..

Logan got tired part way through and Herbie told him he was just like daddy whenever daddy gets his hair done..

getting next to those ears is tricky and even harder when it is a 10 month old and he is moving all the time...
Joann was making jokes about getting so close and into Herbie's face since this was their first time meeting.
can you tell that Logan is not phased at all by the haircut? he just has to be entertained with something in his hand...

are we almost done daddy???

Gel is the final step and yes your eyes aren't decieving you....that is the 4th toy in his hand...

Our Little boy.....no longer a baby.....

You Joann are so patient, so wonderful, and such a great friend...thank you for doing his hair, and for letting his scrapbook-picture happy mom get MANY MANY pictures...

My two boys and their haircuts (I had given Herbie his cut before we left for Logan's..)
