Easter 2009

Dye-ing the Eggs

The night before Easter we were doing stuff in town and still needed to Dye the eggs. We didn't know what Logan would do at 9:30 (an hour after bedtime) with the eggs. He had a blast! It was like he had done it before even though it was his first time!

whoa! this is what happens when i put the egg in there?

another please!

all done!

So proud of what he's done!

hand dye-d!

Easter Morning
He woke up the next morning and went RIGHT to his Easter basket. He had a wonderful time trying to open the eggs and then he got to eat ONE peep before breakfast....as you can see he enjoyed it!

can you tell he just woke up?

Easter Egg Hunting
I swear this kid is smart...i mean every mom thinks this but when we walked out to start finding eggs he knew just what to do! Although after about the 10th egg decided he would rather Golf than find the rest...

his loot :D

yup golfing...can't go a day without golfing!
Easter Pictures
My family tradition was to take pictures near our birch trees...unforunately we took them out years ago so we decided to go next door to Mimi and Pap-paps house to take pictures near their birch trees. it was great since they were there to watch him get his eggs.

Doctors Appointment....

Today this lil man had to endure another round of shots. Today was his 18m checkup. She said he is doing wonderfully and that we are doing a great job as parents. (what a boost to a mom's ego huh?) He weighed in at 24.3 pounds which for his age put him in the 25 to 50% range. Now i look at that and think man do i feed him enough? but really he does eat and alot too!! He just runs it ALL off trying to get the ball that he just hit with the golf club...for his height he is 33.5 inches. He gained 2 inches since January! As for his head size? well since he is a Shimer (my mom's side of the family) descendant he was doomed to have a big head. He is way off the charts for that one...although i look at that and see it as more brain! :D

As for the shots he knew they were coming...i liked when he was younger when we could distract him easily, but now we heard him saying most of the way home "owie, owie OWIE!!" while pointing to his thighs and trying to lift his pant leg so he could take off the band-aids, poor little guy. Well he did get a kite to fly later with daddy for him being so good.

that's all for now but i will be posting Easter pictures pretty soon....
