Ok, I'll do better.....

Its been a year and a day since the last time I posted. I have been noticing that I have had the urge again to blog. This might be from the 22+ week old baby growing in my tummy.

When Logan was about a year and a half we started trying for another baby. We knew with the amount of time that it took with Logan that it would take some time....we didn't know it would take 2 more years....I thought that since my body had already been pregnant it would say "Oh yeah! We can do that again!" but alas it didn't happen.

We turned to medical intervention in November 2010. I started taking Clomid and with it being a fertility medicine I thought maybe the first month would work, but no. It also didn't take in December. The side effects they said or I read about were worse then what I had. Thank Goodness!! In January it finally stuck. We didn't get to test until February 2nd. That morning about 4:30am I took the test. It was finally positive!!! I called Herbie and he was as overjoyed as I was :) I then called Karyn because she wanted to know at the exact moment I knew. :)

Fast forward to this week and we have had the ultrasound which showed us that we are going to add a little girl to our family. Her name is/will be Olivia Yvonne. Its becoming a lot more real since figuring out a name. Olivia was the second of two names we decided on since no one in our families or extended families have an Olivia. Yvonne is after Herbie's Grandmother on his dad's side. His Grandma has been the loving Grandma I always wanted and always want to remember.  I love having the middle names mean something. She is due October 9th. :)

Logan is excited now about being a big brother.  He wasn't so happy at the sonogram when the tech said we would be having a girl. He wanted a brother, BUT he is calling his sister "Princess Olivia" now. He is so cute!

Logan has been doing well. I am truly afraid for his future kindergarten teacher. He is reading at a 1/2 level and is starting to work on his math skills. He has started pre-school and absolutely loves it. I love that he is having the social aspect and his teachers love him. His new teacher told me today that he has such a positive outlook to EVERYTHING. He loves saying "YAY" to everything they are going to do from having snack to playing outside.

I am hoping that I will continue to post more and more here as I have truly missed it. And I know I will have more to write when im up for the nightly feedings!

No I didn't quit this blog....

I have just been busy! The past two months I have been focusing more on making canvases for Reflections of Joy then really taking pictures. Im sure most of you are shocked but its true. We have been busy and sick also. Logan got the stomach flu from something and then I have been dealing with a bout of bad allergies. Its been the stinkin weather with all its "ooh im going to rain, nope im going to be sunny, ha gotcha im going to rain again!" Then today I took this picture of Logan and realized that I need to get on this blog and update it!

Yes I know. His hair looks like Herbie's. It is his summer cut and like my mom says it makes him look older. It sadden me to cut it but he has thick hair and he was just getting hot.  Logan is (since my last post) more and more into reading. He is trying to sound out every word he sees. Most of the time he gets it right but there are times when the wonderful English language likes to throw curve balls at him.

He is still into golf and basketball and baseball but lately he's just been into sand. You see ever since going to the beach in January he loves the sand. We have a couple parks in YC that have sand pits but we don't go there often enough. So we decided to add onto his play area (and wonderful for us less area to mow) and build him a sandbox. its only 4'x8' but its perfect. We actaully found out that Herbie, I and Logan can sit in there comfortably and still have sand toys all around us :).

Well I must go finish dinner and I hope to update again soon!
